TFA Set For Oakham Academy Festival And Tournament

Total Football Academy travel to Rutland, England tomorrow to compete at the Oakham Academy Festival for boys born in 2005 and Oakham Academy Tournament for boys born in 2003/2004.

This will be Total Football Academy’s second visit to Oakham following last year’s successful trip in which our 2002s and 2004s more than held their own against professional football academies from throughout England.

The highlight of last year’s trip was our 2002s nine game unbeaten streak which included wins against Nottingham Forest, Birmingham City and Bradford City, as well as an exciting 1-1 draw against FC Dallas from the USA.

This year’s event will include teams from five different countries including England, Scotland, Norway and the USA. Total Football Academy will be the sole representative team from Ireland with fixtures scheduled to take place across three days against Sheffield Wedneday, Bristol City, Bristol Rovers, Northampton Town, Dunfermline Athletic (Scotland), New York Club Soccer League (USA), New York Select (USA), United Colorado (USA), Moss-To-Takt (Norway) and the Independent Schools Football Association.

The Oakham Academy Festival and Tournament is organised each year by Manchester United academy coach, Tom Statham.
